Soon the Regent's honor guard rode through the port, followed by three coaches and the mounted rear-guard. The sun shone from the soldiers' armor and weaponry like mirrors. They halted and dismounted at the crisp orders barked by the sergeant and assumed a protective formation about the lead coach, from which the soon-to-be Queen was handed down.

From the first and second coaches emerged the Chancellor, Bishop, and several nobles who were most likely the Regent's advisors.

Master Wolf came forward to meet them, bowed (as did we all) and spoke briefly with the Regent. Giving her his arm, he led the way into our tower, followed by the nobles and ten of her guards. They proceeded into the great hall where the rest of the Masters awaited.
