The Heretic Place

Hi - I have been struggling with my faith for some time now. I am an ordained christian pastor who can no longer serve in that capacity because I have come to see and believe that the practice of christianity in history and today, esp in the US, is anti-life and oppressive to the human spirit. The approach to sexuality is but one major example to this, esp the violence of the church's position vis-a-vis homosexuality. I am therefore a seeker, looking to learn and share my insights. I would be interested in meeting like-minded pilgrims for discussion. And I am interested in the faith journeys of others that have led them to the place they are now. This group is a place to share ideas, discuss and learn. I will post my thoughts and ponderings from time to time and will look forward to learning from the responses. Please note - if you are offended by non-orthodoxy and a questioning of time-revered religious principals, I respect, but you might not want to join this group.
