What has been up *grins*

Well, it has been a while since I have been a regular here, and so much has happened.
I am dating someone who is wonderful. According to my friends the smile is back in my voice, and my sister actually asked who I was and what I had done with her serious non-giggly sister.
Pillow fights in furniture stores *grin*, teddy bear kisses (I gave him one for valentines day he has been attacking me with lol...and he is trying to train his new puppy to chew on me *rolls eyes*.
He is intelligent, caring, sweet, sarcastic, reserved to the point of coldness around people he doesn't know (makes getting to know him hard), funny and when he is with me the warmest man in the world. He even thinks my family and the weirdness that is them is cute. Which is a good thing lol...he will need that sense of humor in regards to them .
The sum up? I am happy...happier than I thought I would be again since Mike died. It is amazing what things can happen when you are not looking for them. I fell for him years and years ago, but he didn't feel the same. I then joined the Navy and distance and time made it possible for Mike and I.
Our first conversation after months of not chatting went something like this:
Him: "Would you like to have dinner?"
me: "I don't know"
Him: "How do you NOT know if you want to EAT?"
me: "I know if I want to eat.....I just don't know if I want to eat with you"
Him: "......."

lol anyone who fights through that to find out why and then doesn't run from it, but actually sets out to court a girl (old fashioned term, but appropriate in this case) is a keeper.

For those of you wondering, no,we haven't talked about this aspect of my life, I am a bit shy but I think he has an idea. His best friend knows and I think has been nudging him as he is showing a nice bit of potential *weg*

I will try to be here more often, but life keeps getting in the way, and I am sure you understand when I say, I miss you guys, yet he comes first for me in terms of time. *hugs*

Hi BT, how nice to see you again, and with such wonderful news!
i am very very happy for you

what you said about courting a girl reminded me of the saying "Faint heart never won fair maiden" but it goes both ways...for men and women both.
if you want to win someone, or keep them, or win them back...don't give up.
if it's true love, love will win.
