Forum Initiate United States 17 Posts	As far as the body markings go, I have a few thin scars that I pass off as animal scratches and some bruises I play down as souvenirs of Thirsty Thursdays. I do think of how I REALLY got them every time someone sees one and asks me how I got it.... can't really go into details at work about how I enjoy both men and whips, chains, knives, etc in bed, now can I? As for the marks that aren't left on your skin but on your mind, I'd say that those are the most powerful and lasting, since you deal with them every day and you know they will haunt you (for good or bad) forever. -- True power lies not in the conquest, but rather in the surrender.

A ciascuno il suo United States 334 Posts	I was recently marked as his with two piercings and it definately caused a change in my headspace. It marks a milestone in the relationship; feeling more committed, more owned. When these heal, Sir will be giving me two more. As for temporary markings that stick in my mind as most memorable? It would have to be the deep bruises Sir left on my ass the first time we played; and, we played hard. (I think there is a pic of it somewhere on my profile.) He wanted to mark me as his. The lovely deep purple and violet bruises lasted for quite a while on my ass. Mentally, the impression lasts even today. -- In life there will be times when you keep falling; don't spend your time trying to climb back up to the top. Chances are you won't get too far before you fall again. Make the best out of it and build a castle right were you are. - Samantha Hollis

He used the violet wand and put the initial of my niece that had just passed away upon my shoulder. Strangely enough, it is still there, it has not faded with time like I thought it would. Master did not know that my niece went to IV High school or that they died in the Illinois Valley. He simply made a mark, because I hurt so much inside... a manisfestion of that hurt was his gift to me... and it came out beautiful... more meaningful then either of us could know.
