My sympathies, AIKEN, to all the Mods, Database Administrators, Programmers, and Web Developers that will have to implement these changes. I've learned so much from b.com and grown a lot in my knowledge of myself and my desires. I can't imagine it not being around. I sure do hope it doesn't come to that. Keep up the good work! erin

Forum Maniac United Kingdom 7,492 Posts | This whole saga saddens me greatly. I thought a fundamental foundation of the US consitution was free speach. Blaming VISA is not the answer, they are responding to pressure from some powerful members (blocks) of american society, doing so to look after their shareholders, many of whom will be you/us through the pension/insurance companies and banks we save for our futures with. I think for now we have to support Aitken and the team in what they are doing and hope that the concept of free speach will return to the USA soon.

The museum has just discovered it is losing email and internet hits because some filters are reading it as 'horny man'. Stupid but true. Flogher - I cane, I whip, I cuddle

Paypal, to quote from their site from http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/use/index_frame-outside&ed=mature You may not use PayPal in the purchase or sale of, or receipt of donations for, any obscene or sexually oriented goods or services. librarian Hmm... ok, fair enough... but surely there must be simmilar companies around given the enourmous size of the online pay-per-whatever adult material market?

| Forum Maniac United States 2,489 Posts | Why not direct draft or good old fashioned money orders? A spanking site I am on does direct draft. You could use the bank's routing number rather than a debit card. I am assuming it is just the forums that would be difficult. I also assume the forums do not comprise much of your revenue base. If you ever get to the point where the cost is outweighing the benefits please let me know. Maybe we could work something out in the UK just for the forums, columns and stories if they are the main issue. Regards,

Forum Slut United States 1,058 Posts | aiken: VISA primarily, as interpreted and enforced by the two middlemen between us and the actual VISA conglomerate. My personal opinion is that it's part of a backroom deal with right wing congresspeople to help "clean up the internet" in return for bankruptcy law reform that's favorable to VISA. But that is my personal speculation, based on bits and pieces I've learned over the past few years. Any chance of changing card processing companies to one more accepting of free speech issues? You'd think some sexual advocacy group would be on this like stink on... ummm.. something stinky. A_G I am a Grand Master Geek.
