Shifty - this would make an excellent play rather than book. You are clever and gifted with dialogue. Dialogue is so difficult. This reminds me of Mike Myers' mother in law on Coffee Talk (is that the right name of the old SNL skit?). You are near New York. You could write it up and shop it there. She was also the first person who ever told me a dirty joke (and kept them coming after) and had an outrageously bawdy sexual side until the day she died!
