village idiot United States 11,912 Posts | Long winded explanations, torturous replies replete with verbiage that busts the seams of a paragraph... the seeming necessity to explain jokes... hell, even ME posting this being pedantic. It's all over the place. It's like watching the balloons at the Macy's Day Parade bumping into each other. It seems subject matter and context really aren't an issue. Take a topic, any topic and sooner or later, someone posts something stuffy and purple at the same time which is completely irrelevant. Anywho, always wanting to be in on the "new thang", I'll endeavor to join in and turn simple threads into dense, incomprehensible monographs which display my erudition while reader's eyes glaze over. However, I'll be mentally imagining that I look like Major Hoople while doing so, and pepper my monologues with BRAAK!!!s and BORK!!!s for my own amusement. That won't exclude me from being part of the windbag movement, will it? mootard and pedantry *BRAAK!!!*edit. *BORK!!!* *HARRUMPH!!* Edited by - insert_namehere on 2005-03-09 04:07:25 | |
