Forum Initiate United States 13 Posts | Doms and Dommes -- would you feel intimidated by a sub who has a much better job or who has a much higher level of education than you?

Forum Slut Netherlands 1,182 Posts | We switch, so maybe it's different for us. Anyway, my husband is better educated and has better work than I do (especially since I am between jobs right now, something I plan to correct later today). But when I dominate him, that doesn't factor into it. At all. Watching him slip further and further into submission is just to big a kick to waste time worrying about stuff like that. He may be a physicist, but I'm holding the strings.

Forum Apprentice United States 126 Posts | The job does not intimidate me, a high level of education does just a little (that's around anyone like that, not just a sub). But that's resolved once I get to talk to the person.

Forum Apprentice United States 113 Posts | No, I don’t think that would intimidate me. But it is also a question of their attitude about it. Some people like to rub your nose in it and others don’t focus on that kind of thing. In fact I think a “better job” and more education would be interesting. I like smart people. I just met a woman with a PhD and it was wonderful talking to her. So this kind of thing would be a plus in my opinion.

Forum Slut United States 1,409 Posts | Alright - I admit it... A sub with a much better job than me would be hard for me to handle. It would only last for a short time, but its something I would have to get used to. The reason is pretty simple. I'm not the define-me kinda person that always looks for others to stroke my ego. However, I have an excellent reputation and I enjoy the feeling of being respected. The education part however is no problem for me. Went to university and have worked for long enough to know that education has little to do with the value or knowledge of a person. Peter. In touch with my inner animal...

Just back from the temp agency, and they told me I was aiming too low. So now they are introducing me to six potential employers for long-term jobs I would all love to get! W00T! [/mini-highjack]

Forum Initiate United States 1 Posts | My sub is in the law profession and is a member of Mensa while I'm a retail cashier at wallyhell. is that diverse enough? I find it such a turn to have the highly intelligent man begging at My feet. I find it such a turn on to have this wonderfully funny and quick witted man make Me laugh. I find it such a turn on that he does not look down at My lack of formal education when we are talking as friends. My sub shows me such respect as a whole person, not just the parts that interest him. And I respect him too.

Forum Slut United States 1,273 Posts | Bound4Trouble: Doms and Dommes -- would you feel intimidated by a sub who has a much better job or who has a much higher level of education than you? Job. Not at all. I LOVE my job, I would not do anything else, money does not come into it. Therefore, there can be no 'better' job IMHO. A person is not a job. I only ever work at things I enjoy, so what could be better? Education. Definitely not. I would suck her dry (in a non-pervy sense Intimidated? Not at all. I would be attracted to someone who is erudite, clever and intelligent.
