She used a combination of slave suckling and manual expectoration to maintain her ability to lactate long after she stopped breast feeding her sons. There are also case histories of women who act as surrogates for mothers who are unable breast feed their own children. | |

Forum Initiate United States 31 Posts | It usually takes a lot of dedication to induce lactation. Manual expression/suckling/pumping must be done several times a day for several months. Using herbs can help but the quickest way is to use a medication called domperidone. Combining the domperidone with certain birth control pills (like Yasmin) for 1-2 months and then discontinuing the bc pill and beginning to use a hospital grade breast pump is a very successful route to inducing. www.asklenore.com has a protocal for inducing that is geared towards adoptive mothers. It takes a lot of work but it can create an incredible bonding experience between two adults....and the milk can taste really yummy and sweet It can also be a great control mechanism in relationships.
