After much discussion between moderators and administration, we've decided that there is to be no alteration of words when quoting another member's post. Deletion of portions of a quoted post in order to emphasize a portion of the post is allowed (and even encouraged!) as long as the meaning is consistent with that of the original post. For example, if I say that "Bush is not a jerk" then someone quotes me as saying "Bush is a jerk", that would be against the forum rules. (But I only deleted one word!?!) There were just too many variables involved; which words were deleted, how they would be marked, whether enough people would notice the marking, yadayadayada. The moderators' job is difficult enough; we're not willing to make it harder. Thanks for your cooperation. KatieJ

Updated 3/10/09/ ~Wolfspet Recent change in forum policy. "Locked at the request of the OP" will not be allowed anymore. If you post a topic that doesn't go the way you like, you have to live with it. There will be one exception, hijacked threads if there's to much to clean. -- "To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world." -unknown "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." -E.E.
