Very talented and wonderful performer.

R.I.P., Karl Malden _sad

Dead Ringer (1964)
Gypsy (1962)

My two special favorites of all time. I loved his sweetness.

Darkeone - Now we agree! Not even in the Top 10 actors of all time, he Won Best Supporting Actor for Streetcar and was nomintated and should have also won for Waterfront

He had depth and YES - he could play any role

With his "Common Man" appearance, no matter what role he played, he did it well and was always believable.

His most important film was Cat O' Nine Tails

If there is a Heaven, he should be lying on a cloud, floating around with Farrah right now

May he rest in eternal peace

I didn't love him, not a huge fan at all, but by the 10th time you see "Waterfront" or "Streetcar" you realize what a magnificent talent he was

He had "the goods" and delievered them every time, consistent, flawless and unique in his performance

Speaking of OLD GEEZERS = Did you know Eli Wallach is also 97 and he's still working! He's been in several movies in the past 2 years

I loved his character in "Gypsy" and his character in "Dead Ringer." Men like that (in old Holly films) are few and far between.

Cool for Eli W.!

He was a natural and a role like Herbie in GYPSY or Shooter in The Cincinnati Kid were perfect for him

But Streetcar or Waterfront are American Classics and reflect the work of the Masters, actors like Brando and retrospect, Malden also must be considered a Master at his craft
