| Forum Initiate United States 24 Posts | Chalk it up to aging, perhaps, but my recent attempts at anal sex have resulted in 2 rounds of hemorrhoids in as many months. I'm squidgy about poop, so I like to enema ahead of time, and have been doing 2-3 rounds (to the point of clear expulsion) a couple of hours before expecting to have anal sex. Both times in the past couple of months that I've done this and then had anal sex, I've ended up with a hemorrhoid. Prior to now, the only time I've ever gotten them was right before and after the birth of my child. My boyfriend is well-endowed, and that may be contributing, but I'm wondering if the enemas might not be as much/more to blame. More importantly, I'm wondering how to best avoid this sort of thing in the future or if it will cause me to give up anal sex altogether (I don't want to develop a chronic problem and understand that the more of these you get, the more flaccid your blood vessels become - which excacerbates the issue). My short term plan is to use lots of lube and try anal without the enema first. I'd also like to find an anal sex/health experienced internist in the Bay Area (shouldn't be hard!). Would love any advice and also any leads on a doctor in SF who knows his shit, so to speak. Thanks in advance! | |

Forum Maniac United States 2,924 Posts | my advice for anal sex, try to have enemas but not before the anal sex, try to keep your rectum clean, dont eat before sex and get drunk and get relax, relax the muscles in your ass and use a lot of lube but mainly you have to want and have to be prepared for anal sex, but for sure, u have to get drunk first, hehehe, i swear!Im an expert in anal sex and trust me i have had only a few accidents in my whole life, im always ready for that and clean . Good luck and have fun

Forum Maniac United States 3,113 Posts | darlin, call the office of Dr Charles Moser. I believe he is no longer accepting new patients but it doesn't hurt to try, and hopefully the receptionist will refer you to another bdsm/sex-friendly physician in the City. Also at this point I think you should probably *only* be seeking advice from experts with the possible exception of those who have actually been in your exact situation. --

Forum Regular United States 541 Posts | Don't push when you poop. Seriously. Goes for expelling enemas too. Also, sitting on the toilet seat for extended periods impacts blood flow and can have a negative influence on that area. Bad bathroom habits put a lot more stress on that tissue than anal sex does. (unless it's really rough) If you're sitting on the pot for a long time pushing out several enemas beforehand, you're probably getting the hemorrhoids before the anal sex and just not noticing them until after.

Forum Slut Canada 1,920 Posts | I also LOVE ANAL sex; my advice: have a DEEP enema THE NIGHT BEFORE. If you do it right, your anus will return to normal the day of sex. Works for me -- Amor Vincit Omnia - email:o2papillion@yahoo.co.uk | |
