Mistress Ariachne's BDSM Workshop: Fashion Tips for Forced Feminization

One of my favorite types of scenes is forced feminization, in which I take a male submissive and get him all dolled up as a girl. Here are a few insights into what I've found to be most effective in creating the proper mix of mortification and excitement in my subbie "girls."

The Effect

I've found that most guys who want forced feminization are not going for the true experience of being a woman. When putting together your feminization "kit," keep in mind that your victim needs to have exaggerated feminine traits. We are not going for the conservative look --we want the most obviously sexy, trampy, garish props that scream "feminine slut." We want to work at the risqué end of the spectrum.

I have three main sets of props for feminization, divided basically into colors: black, pink/white, and red. Black can be sexy but not necessarily slutty, whereas red screams out "fuck me, I'm a porn star." The white and pink set is for that innocent sex-kitten look. Of course, I also use specialized outfits, like the French Maid or Catholic schoolgirl uniform.

You can also delve deep into your sub's fantasy by commanding him to do the shopping. That way you're sure to have the clothes and props on hand that fulfill his personal fantasy.

The Clothes

The basis of your feminization session should be a very naughty set of underclothes. A silky bra is a must--no wide cotton straps here. I fill the bra with silicone breast forms, made for women who've had mastectomies. They are incredibly realistic-feeling. But you can also buy or make less expensive "breasts."

I consider a garter belt and stockings to be an absolute necessity in forced feminization--unless your sub has a thing for traditional pantyhose, the stocking/belt combination is far sexier. I have done hot humiliation scenes that involved dressing my male sub just in stockings and heels.

Try to get the kind of stockings that do NOT stay up by themselves--the elastic band around the top interferes with the sexy effect, in my opinion. Lastly, you will need a set of matching panties. These may or may not have ruffles or flowers on them.

One big factor in considering which clothes to get for your scene is the silkiness of the fabric. I find that most subs into feminization really get off on the smooth, satiny feel of some women's clothes--especially when you rub the top layer on another silky layer on the bottom. So look for things like slips, sexy little dresses, silk blouses, etc.

Short skirts are always in fashion for showing off stocking-clad legs. Stay away from pantsuits or denim jumpers unless your sub professes a strong preference for them. If you can invest a little more money, PVC dresses and skirts look fabulous. And I cannot recommend corsetry highly enough for the feminized slut.

Your biggest hurdle in stocking your feminization closet will be finding women's clothes in your sub's size. While some men are small enough to fit into easily obtainable women's sizes, most will require outfits in the plus size range, women's sizes 18-26. Men are also shaped differently--they have smaller hips and larger shoulders, for instance. You may find your sub needs much larger blouses than skirts. Sleeveless dresses or slips with straps can also help alleviate the problems caused by larger shoulders.

Shoes

I consider a nice set of high heels to be integral to a feminization scene, but they can be hard to find and rather expensive. Sandals can also be sexy. Obviously, you'll want to rule out tennis shoes or anything else that is gender-neutral. A set of boots with heels can be great too.

This is where you may end up making your biggest investment. You can find sexy heels online in sizes up to 17 (I have black high heels in every size from 7 - 17). Remember that men's sizes are different from women's; in the U.S., you need to add approximately a size and a half to a man's shoe size to determine what women's size he will take.

Wig

Putting your male submissive in a wig can create a startling transformation. It really helps me see my sub as a feminized creature.

Wigs range wildly in price. You can get some at your local Halloween outlet for under $10, or pay hundreds of dollars for one made out of real hair. I find that most wigs in the $30 - $40 range are adequately high-quality.

What color and style is really up to you. I own wigs in blonde, black, and red in bob-cut and long lengths. Again, stay away from styles that could be gender-neutral.

Makeup

I always make my feminized subs wear at least some bright red lipstick and blue eye shadow. I usually spend a lengthy session applying a full set of makeup, however, because it helps get the sub into that feminized mind-space. Full makeup includes foundation, powder, blush, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, lip liner and lipstick. I make quite a show of carefully putting on each element.

For a starter kit, I recommend face powder in whatever color matches your submissive's skin, black eyeliner and mascara, a bit of blush, red or pink lipstick, and eye shadow in whatever color you choose. In reality, neutral shades work best--but we're not going for reality here, are we? That's why I use bright blue in addition to darker blue to highlight the eye crease.

Jewelry

Your feminized slut could benefit from some big hoop earrings and a shiny necklace too. You can find clip-on earrings that add a bit of pain to the humiliation.
