Why isn't 100% a choice? I just scrolled down the list of women who have "Viewed" my profile. There are zero that I know are real who show their face. We all know why it's hidden bi_hung_men... Why don't they clean it up?

Face = Fake. I am sure some women do this, but I think that number is very small and it seems naive to me. I am a sexual woman, but I need to control who knows these things about ME. Those of us who ARE real, share that information with people we connect with in a time of our choosing. It is basic safety for a woman. It is amazing to see the number of fake profiles here.

I haven't been here that long, but I was told by a domme to only show my face to people I wanted to meet. That made total sense to me. The other thing I've noticed is that those "face picture profiles" are always profiles that have been created recently. Does the site need that kind of traffic to be profitable? None of them seem to be paying members.

Think about it: you are a professional woman, and somehow something like this gets seen and then circulated. I would tell you that 99% of profiles with a picture of an attractive woman on this site are fake. So this is the work of identity thieves who are mining personal information from desperate men who can't get laid? Sad, if that is what this has become.

I knew little about his site when I signed up, but I was very excited to be here and post pictures of myself that nobody had ever seen. Even then, I knew what I wasn't going to show, and that was my face. I later learned not to use my hometown or other personal information. So, I use information that is close but not exactly the truth. I did all of that to protect myself. This can be scary stuff for a woman, and learning how to do this safely is a big part of being able to enjoy all of this. I like the comment "Face = Fake"

Who produces all the fake profiles? Why? Is it identity thieves? That seems to make sense.

Many have talked to me for several days but they are the same. Somewhere asking for money to come to me. I offered 3 times what they would pay for gas after they arrive and if they wanted to leave they had the money. All disappear poof gone. It would be refreshing to actually meet one in person.

I figure most of the throwaway profiles here are just two minutes of typing text and a pic fresh out of a generative AI. You don't even need to copy real images anymore. Best thing that could be done would be to require a one-time, five-dollar sign-up fee. At least the company would derive a bunch of revenue with which to better police the obvious fakes.

Face or no face picture, the biggest problem I have is that I find someone I'd like to explore things with more, but there is no way to contact them. I agree with ann_petite - 100% would be the most appropriate answer.

I understand 'not showing your face' or not posting a photo for 'security purposes'. But the number of fake/scammer profiles is easily over 90%...

I keep a notebook, of everyone I talk with, so far this year,I have 37 fakes listed,all asked for money in some way, even those without facepics, or even no pics at all, I been a member since 2000.and the site has really gone tohell,

I have mett women form her, so I can say not 100% is fake. Most of the time you can say after a few sentenses if fake or real person. Some profiles are all the same persons behind (usually can tell from the sentence structure and phrasing) Not sure what sense that makes, else than creating men-traffic. Quite some femal profiles seems to be real persons, to chat and have fun, but never would think about real meeting, which is somehow understanabel for me. Regarding face pic - I tend to agree, it is very unlikely that a women shows her face on the profile, hence the probability it's fake is quite big, though it happens. Some are simply naive, soem use make-up, hairstyle and filters. By the way I don't remember ever been aksed for money, and even if I offered at some occasions, it was denied. Looks liek the classical fake and phising profiels never cought my attention and I never started a contact with them. So as a summary, it is fun to chat with people here, just don't take it to seriouse and don't expect to find your dream partner within a few days. I made friends here to people, chatting over years, and as I said met some in real life, havign fun.

I'm amazed at the number of men that make positive encouraging comments to fake profiles. Just have to take about 2 mins and run the fake photos thru reverse imaging software like TinEye or Yandex, and you will get hits that the photos are stolen off the net from either porn sites or modeling sites.

I love their first line: "Send me your contact info so we can talk better" We just started talking here on Alt, so how can it be any better or worse??? If they can't get your contact info, then there are always the Apple gift cards everyone wants! What a bunch of scammers on here! And Alt is confused why their subscriber count is going down. Why should paying members keep putting up with this crap?

This is an important thread and if Alt wants to regain/reclaim the trust (and money) of its honest members, it will figure out ways to winnow out the fakes - if we can use reverse imaging, so can Alt, right? For the record, I have met people here with pictures who decidedly are not fake, but that is a very small number.

A fairly obvious piece of evidence of a fake profile beyond the fake (sometimes AI generated, IM photos is the bad grammar and syntax, e.g.:Can we speak on other platform to know each other better? or I am seeking for a matured dom or no kid, not marry Most likely Chinese scammers looking for suckers

I too have been on here for years and have actually met individuals!!! However it seems that over the last decade that has died out. It seems to me this site charges for everything ! It wasn't always like this ! People could chat freely it promoted more interplay with members it was great back then nobody was hung up on pictures and such it was more about discussing the lifestyle and what suited you kink.

Ive been on here since 2000. everything was free back then,no membership, If you send a message to somepone and after just a couple of e mails, she deletes her profile because she only wants to talk with you, its a scammer, also chantelleblue58 is a scammer, everything checked out on here, so sent her $80 for gas, she never showed up and dlocked my messages. mabye we all should start posting scammers names.

There’s fakes of all genders here, and lots of them. You ask most guys how big their dick is and most of them say 8inch plus, which if you do some online research you’ll see is statistically impossible.

I would tell you that 99% of profiles with a picture of an attractive woman on this site are fake. So this is the work of identity thieves who are mining personal information from desperate men who can't get laid? Sad, if that is what this has become. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

My face is visible, and I am open about my lifestyle and my photo are tasteful and I would not be bothered if my father, children, grandchildren, friends or any acquaintance saw and read my profile. Nearly every female profile on here is fake in my area designed to get men to pay to sign up. It's not good and should be addressed.

Dropped My membership years ago, once upon a time ALT was a great gathering place, because 90 of the profiles here now are fake. Whats silly is that ALT could weed out these fake profiles simply based upon algorithms. When you see " seeking for" 200% of the time it is a fake profile..

I agree with almost all the foregoing comments. And have similar past positive experiences. I contend the current spate of 'obviously fake' profiles is not primarily present to scam genuine members out of their life savings. Rather, I assume it is a pathetic attempt to con us into believing how vibrant and active the Alt community appears to be currently. Much in the same way the number of members is presented on the website cover page, or the alleged number of group chat rooms (almost 35 thousand as of 17.11.24). If anyone believes either statistic, then they need the sort of help that few are capable of providing.

Almost all the "women" I have met on here eventually ask for money. It's disheartening. It was nice reading everybody's comments; it makes me not feel alone in my experience. I have yet to meet someone in person from this site, but that can probably be chalked up to the fact that I live in a dating desert. I just got verified, so I am hoping that helps in my search.

Over the years, I have met a few people for real through this site but indeed, lots more have tried to scam me, most of them had a golden subscription. Must be lucrative. I'm still here for the odd chance of a real conversation but I have stopped paying because why bother if most members can not reply anyway, unless of course you pay extra to allow non-paying members to message you. I suppose the company that runs this site doesn't find it in their best interest to weed out the fake female profiles. We would wonder... damn, where did all the girls go? Also, I believe certain aspects of the algorythm are designed to deceive us. When I had a paying subscription, there was this lady that, according to the list of people that viewed my profile, looked me up every day, so I sent her a message "Hi sweetie, you really seem to be into me, am I right?" and she was outraged. "How dare you! Not interested at all, never once looked you up, buster." "Oopsie"... So, I noticed that merely opening the people online list makes them all appear in the list of people I viewed. I assume that makes me appear in the list of people that viewed their profile. You cannot even use the IM for free nowadays. But we can still blog. Sssst...

Easily 90%. So many ways to tell: No picture Fake picture (99  No Profile or random nonsense or worse, claiming to be real looking for real Grammar mistakes a go-go Asking for money within minutes Claiming you checked them out so they checked you out and messaged you, only to reveal that it's a pathetic man posing. This site is also a fraud as it charges $80/100 more for no reason and when you ask for clarifications, they play stupid and ignore you.

With the rise of ai and bots, I regularly see people in my area who look remarkably like models. Because they are models and someone has stolen and or modified the model pictures. Don't get me started on 'I am seeking for a ......'
